Cosmetic services at CLS are offered through Dr. Michael McCracken.
Michael
McCracken, M.D. received his bachelor’s degree from the
University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State
University. After an internship at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s
Hospital, he completed an ophthalmology residency at the
University of Illinois at Chicago and an oculoplastic surgery
fellowship at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. McCracken is board certified in ophthalmology, and performs
functional surgery of the eyelid, orbit, and lacrimal system. He
also performs BOTOXÒ
injections, collagen injections, RestylaneÒ
injections, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, laser hair
removal, laser vein treatment, and cosmetic surgery of the
eyelids, eyebrows, and midface.
Dr. McCracken has published several articles, and has written
textbook chapters on eyelid anatomy, eyelid lesions, facial
physiology, droopy eyelids, Botox, Restylane, and laser
resurfacing. He has lectured on oculoplastic surgery and he
teaches annually at the American Academy of Ophthalmology
meeting. Dr. McCracken is a preceptor for the ophthalmology
interns at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospital and teaches the
ophthalmology residents at the University of Colorado. He is a
member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery,
the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical
Association, the Colorado Medical Society, the Colorado Society
of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Denver Medical Society.
