I had a tear in both eyes, separated in time by about six months. Laser treatment to both eyes repaired the tears. However after more than a year I am still experiencing pronounced floaters and flashes at peripheries of both eyes. Neither symptom has resolved in fourteen months. Is this indicative of a serious problem or should I assume this is more or less normal and expect that eventually I'll see improvement? I did have a dilated eye exam about four months ago and ophthamologist did not find problems then, but I have to wonder how the eyes can continue to exhibit flashing indefinitely unless there's a problem. Thank you.
