Dr.
Jordan received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Baylor University
in Texas. Under a national grant, she researched newly formulated chemical
compounds in the area of organic chemistry. While attending the University
of Houston College of Optometry, she received numerous clinical honors
and recognitions in family practice, pediatrics, low vision, contact lens,
and ocular disease. Also involved in a National Institute of Health sponsored
research project, she presented at an American Academy of Optometry meeting.
After graduating from the University of Houston College of Optometry,
Dr. Jordan completed a residency in ocular disease at Omni Eye Specialists,
Denver. Following this, she completed a fellowship in refractive surgery
at Colorado Laser Surgeons, Denver.
Dr. Jordan lectures on various topics in ocular disease and
refractive surgery. She is also an adjunct professor of several optometry
schools throughout
the nation, and is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association
and American Optometric Association. Her interests include several
outdoor activities
such as hiking and camping.
